Now that “The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King” has swept the Oscars with 11 awards, those that missed the epic third installment in the Tolkien fantasy trilogy, will get a chance to watch it in the comforts of their own home, months earlier than expected.
New Line has announced that they will be releasing the film on home video and DVD May 25th.
Wake me when the extended version boxed set comes out...
That'll be around Christmas time. It's what I'm getting for Christmas. I just wonder what the figurine will be. Frodo? Strider? The Ring?

I'll probably go and buy it, followed shortly by the extended version, when it shows up too. It's THAT good. Watching the siege scenes reminded my of playing Stronghold.

P.S. When is Matrix III coming out?
that's great, I'll be able to record on satellite hard disc in early June from pay per view.
However, I've never purchased a movie VHS or DVD, but when the extended version of the entire trilogy is offered my credit card will be out and utiilized
