Morning wood Comments
"Last Call" What's Last Call??? i live in New Orleans, we don't use that term down here. That was a good list Steven. I'll take two of everything. Well, except for the bride. I hear more than one makes the other cranky. Posted by: Mr. Lion at November 27, 2003 12:43 AMPlease see also this. Posted by: Francis W. Porretto at November 27, 2003 06:06 AMStephen - A very Happy Thanksgiving to you and Melissa. I have been an "every day" reader for nearly a year and have enjoyed your commentary and the obvious love for each other that comes through your writing. All the best, Terry Reynolds Posted by: Terry Reynolds at November 27, 2003 06:24 AMThat drink of which you speak that contains Absolut Citron, while no doubt tasty, is no martini. A proper martini is made with gin. Preferably a good gin....but even that is not necessary. Happy Thanksgiving. Posted by: Natalie at November 27, 2003 08:19 AMWinning the Stanley Cup 3 times is even better... especially if you're the hottest team in the NHL right now and have the world's best goalie. GO DEVILS! Posted by: Loweeel at November 27, 2003 08:54 AMGreat list, even bereft as it was of any mention of P-51D Mustangs and The Green Bay Packers. Have a good one Amigo. Posted by: Full Auto at November 27, 2003 10:20 AMYou forgot baseball -- and any team that beats the Yankees. Posted by: David Crawford at November 27, 2003 10:29 AMThe Leafs are just biding their time. Soon, the precious will be ours... Posted by: Sean Kirby at November 27, 2003 12:53 PMDamn, Paul beat me to what I was going to say. I know not of this "last call" thing. :-p Posted by: Cybrludite at November 27, 2003 03:42 PMMr. Green, et. al., I hope that you and yours have had a good day so far, and that you have a great dinner. (We went out for lunch... I don't know what, if anything, we'll have enough room for tonight.) I haven't been feeling too well today, but today is supposed to be the day where we put aside our angst and worries, and observe and celebrate this day, and while reflecting on the meaning of this occasion. I hope that I can remember that today, and for this weekend. And I hope that you, your family, and all of the other readers at your great site have an excellent day, and a pleasant, happy, and safe weekend as well... Happy Thanksgiving, and God Bless! Posted by: Aakash at November 27, 2003 04:58 PMGood reads - The 2-year old hugging your neck as tightly as she can. - Dropping 10 lbs right before Thanksgiving - The sound of cold rain high in the trees - A beam reach - American Cabernet - The knowledge that one day - hopefully not *too* soon - it will be your job to host Thanksgiving dinner Posted by: Greg at November 27, 2003 11:07 PMDim lights, thick smoke, and loud, loud music. You did mention nipples, right? Just checking. You did, however, leave out "women in thigh length skirts and knee high boots". Yowza! Posted by: Cam at November 28, 2003 09:31 AMCheese and DVDs. Posted by: aaron at November 28, 2003 10:56 AMLet's get specific on that last.:) Muenster and lebanon bolgona on honeywheat berry with butter while watching The Philadelphia Story on DVD. Posted by: Alan Kellogg at November 28, 2003 06:25 PMIts FDNY, but NYPD. Yeah, thanks folks, we need ya. Grateful in NYC. I see you included cigars but what happened to the Grey Goose Vodka? Or the humidor for the cigars....might as well be thankful for it all and the ability to still buy it in America. Posted by: cigars at April 11, 2004 04:07 PM |
