David Hogberg makes the case that Iowa Senator Tom Harkin might be in more political trouble than most people think. New details. Read it.
Thanks Steve! By the way, I'm gonna meander over to spoons and hit the Den Beste button a bunch of times. Not 'cause I think he's the most liberal, but because I wanna mess with the results--heh, heh, heh.
well, david, then, i will too!
Re: Democrat politicians & their staff.
Am I mistaken, or have we heard this before? An over zealous staff member . . . you connect the dots yourself.
Why is it democrats can't control their own staff when it is their stated mission in life to control everyone and everything else in the world.
Could it be that these staffers are following orders???? Nah.
Yeah, and Sabato has thrown the Iowa race into the tossup column. However, I do notice that his math is a little off. It gives the range of likely Senate results as +2 GOP to +2 Dems. It should read +3 GOP to +1 Dems.
And now NBC is reporting that Torricelli may drop out in New Jersey (since he went from a 14 point lead over Forrester in June to a 13 point deficit in a recent poll).
How did Sabato show New Jersey?
Sabato currently has the race as "Currently leaning Republican (highly competitive)," but assuming the Dems can get someone else on the ballot, I think he'll change it to "Leans Democratic" etc., overnight. Forrester is unknown in a heavily-leaning Demo state. I think any non-Torricelli democrat will be the easy favorite, assuming the ballot legality question is fairly clear.
