The EU, in stern response to today's barbarian terror bombing in Jerusalem, has decided to start giving money again to the Palestinian Authority.
Well, it's not like they're also getting a pat on the back and an "atta boy." The EU is far too smart to do that where people can here. Usuaully.
One more thing. A Palestinian mother who cheerfully sends her son off to go murder innocents on Monday is not going to turn into a peaceful taxpayer on Friday, just because the guy on the corner with the machine gun now speaks her language instead of Hebrew.
No statehood, no money, no recognition, no negotiation. They've proven themselves failures by every civilized measure, and should be treated as such.
Um. . .was I speaking of the EU or the PA just then?
Doesnt stop there either. EU pulled a nice(?) one-two punch by resuming funding Arafat's palestinian authority _and_ adding Arafat's Al-Aqsa Brigades to it's list of terrorist organizations (well,Arafat's in the sense Al-Aqsa is associated with Fatah, the brigade folks tend to be Fatah members, and Fatah was of course started by Yasser himself).
And Israel is about to hand over money from electricity revenues as well. Why do you only mention the EU here?
That's an easy one, Egg.
The Israeli money is money due for contracted services delivered.
The EU cash goes directly (and knowingly) to terrorists, for being terrorists.
Even the French can understand that -- they just don't care.
What evidence?
Also try this one.
Down the bottom.
That's cash. Money in the bank. Buys a lot of acetone in my local hardware store. This whole thing about the EU is a blind. Nobody here in Israel takes it seriously including my friend in the next cubicle who is a serious setller supporter. (Supports Chelsea FC though).
Egghead-
Perhaps I am misunderstanding the Ha'aretz article, but it seems to me that Israel is taking the tax money owed to the PA and giving it to the Israeli Electrical company. This doesn't look like Israel giving the PA money.
