Nick Kristof worries that we don’t worry enough about domestic terrorists. He might have made a better case had his best example not been such a poor example:
The plan, according to Sheriff James Dupont, was for the militia to use its machine guns, pipe bombs and 30,000 rounds of ammunition to assassinate 26 local officials (including Mr. Dupont), and then wipe out the National Guard when it arrived. After the panicked authorities sent in NATO troops, true American patriots would rise up, a ferocious war would ensue, and the U.S. would end up back in the hands of white Christians.
Let me get this right, Nicky. Domestic terrorists killed a couple hundred people eight years ago in Oklahoma. Since then, the best they’ve managed is to make ridiculous “plans,” then get caught and go to jail. Meanwhile, Osama’s boys have killed over 3,000 Americans by hijacking four airliners, crashing them into three buildings, waging a mail war with anthrax, damn near sinking one of our finest warships, and destroying a US Air Force building in Saudi Arabia. Oh, and they probably have so-called “sleeper cells” in our cities right now.
Yes, by all means, let’s commit even more of our scarce resources towards mostly harmless nutcases in Upper Colon, Montana, and forget about those Middle Eastern guys who slaughter us by the thousands.

I am not sure what the moniker fucktard means. Assuming it is a short epithet that signifies a hostile incredultiy at the mindlessness of a columnist who writes for the Times, you are a wordsmith. Another dismal, dumb attempt by Kristoff to shift the focus from our true enemies. "Look," he bleats, "there are some bad, scary men on our side as well. And, they aren't swarthy!" What a pointless column. Incidentally, Kristoff, some months back staunchly defended the vile Sami al-Arian, professor of computer science at Florida Atlantic University. He had collected money for some terrorist groups. The co-founder of his group, Ramadan Shami (or some shit like that) is accussed of ordering the most recent bus bombing from his redoubt in Syria. 17 were killed.
Friedman, I'm not sure what "fucktard" means, either. But it sure seems to have expressed the venom I feel for that Kristof piece.
To me, "fucktard" was slang for "Fucking Retard" it fits so nicely : )
You forgot to mention that the latest evidence indicates that according to a Phillipine operative/source, Usama's minions/cohorts were in fact responsible for providing Terry Nichols "the farmer" with the bombmaking skills to make the whole thing work when he traveled to the Philipines prior to Oklahoma City. Of course, our justice dept and FBI wasn't too interested in any evidence that would upset the nice pat theory of domestic "right wing" militias being entirely responsible. So Kristoff doesn't even get a point for that one.
